If you’re interested in gaining an impression of the work we do at the SPEA, we’d like to extend a warm welcome to you and cordially invite you to our open house.

Every first Sunday of the month the Sanctuary for Predators and Exotic Animals is open for visitors from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Entree is free of cost, however we do thank you for every donation on behalf of our animals.

Tours in German are hourly.
Please understand that we are not able to offer an English tour since we only have few tour guides who can do the tour in English and they are needed as volunteer in front of the enclosure to inform our guests. However there is always someone on the site who can speak English and explain about our organization and the animals. Simply ask at the entrance where those people are. Thank you.

Whether you decide to take a guided tour of our Sanctuary to get an insider’s view into our work or move around the grounds freely, we can guarantee that you’ll find dedicated volunteers in front of the enclosures to answer any in-depth inquiries about our animals. Special guests, such as local bird trainers, will hopefully make your visit even more entertaining and informative. After a tour of our grounds, we hope the delicious scent of freshly baked cakes will lure you into the Tiger Café to grab a bite to eat before saying goodbye to the Sanctuary.
